Transplantation: It is a process of taking an organ, skin, etc. from one person, animal, part of the body, etc. and putting it into or onto another. The donor and recipient may be at the same location, or organs may be transported to a recipient located in a different area. Transplantation can either be from a living or cadaveric source. While kidney and liver transplants can be from cadaveric source or organs donated by a patient’s relative, cardiac transplant can not. Kidney, liver, heart. pancreas, lungs, intestine are the organs transplanted successfully in Turkey. Transplantation is made ethically in the centers of transplantation under observation of ministry of health international coordination.
