Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty

What is Vaginoplasty?
This procedure is a cosmetic surgery performed on the internal genital area. It involves tightening a widened vagina through surgical procedures, restoring it to its original and aesthetic appearance. The enlargement, which occurs due to the inability of the vaginal muscles to contract and relaxation, can later lead to issues such as vaginal flatulence and urinary incontinence. This procedure can eliminate all these problems. It is not necessary to have given birth or to be of old age to undergo this procedure.

Some primary causes include vaginal enlargement due to normal childbirth, difficulties during delivery, having a large baby, the aging process, loss of elasticity, the general structure of the vagina being wide, having undergone multiple childbirths, or even a history of abortion.

The procedure can be performed under both types of anesthesia.
Excess tissue is removed from the area if present, and loosened tissues are tightened during the procedure. The incisions are made inside the vaginal area, so complaints of scarring are unlikely. The procedure is performed on the posterior wall of the vagina.
The operation generally takes between 30 to 60 minutes.
The stitches used are absorbable by the body, so there is no need for stitch removal.
It is crucial to perform Kegel exercises, which strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.
A balanced diet and regular sleep are essential as they can slow down the aging process.
