Endoscopic Turbinate Reduction is a surgical method preferred for excessive growth of nasal turbinates. These structures, which provide airflow, moisturization, and warming inside the nose, can sometimes enlarge, making breathing difficult. This procedure, performed with a special instrument called a microdebrider, involves using sharp and small blades. The surgeon visualizes the inside of the nose with a camera during the procedure and removes the necessary tissue. This method is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 15 minutes.
