Septoplasty

Septoplasty

The septum, located inside the nose, is a structure that divides the nasal cavity into two parts along the midline. Due to congenital factors or traumas experienced throughout life, the septum can become deviated, a condition referred to as septal deviation. Through a surgical procedure called septoplasty, the deviated septum is corrected, improving nasal breathing and supporting nasal aesthetics.

HOW IS SEPTOPLASTY PERFORMED

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to alleviate nasal obstruction. Straightening the bone and cartilage wall called the nasal septum helps reduce symptoms such as nasal congestion, snoring, sinusitis, and postnasal drip. This surgery improves nasal breathing for a more comfortable breath and enhances quality of life.
